Each episode begins: "In the American criminal justice system, the prosecution is represented by two separate groups, but of equal importance: the police who investigate crimes, and the prosecutor, who continues criminals. Here are their stories. "

This series features all the actors of the American justice system in the District of Manhattan, in the heart of New York City. We are witnessing the discovery of a crime, then the police investigation and the judicial investigation to trial. This series is based on a very tight rhythm, without downtime. But there is little dramatic or violent scenes, the pace is given by the progress of the investigation and the trial arguments exchanged between the prosecution and defense. The recurring characters (police, prosecutors, lawyers) are characterized but they are only in the service of action. We know little about their privacy, we do not see outside their work1.
